Neglected Tropical Diseases are a group of destructive and dangerous communicable diseases that can be prevented and treated, but at present they still affect 1.5 billion people globally. They continue to cause severe disfigurement and other long-term disabilities that create obstacles to education, employment, economic growth and overall development.

    79% of African countries are co-endemic for at least 5 Neglected Tropical Diseases, and 600 million people in Africa still require treatment.
